The Ram Navami procession that began from the Ram Temple in New Town was halted by Bidhannagar Police at VIP Road near the Kestopur crossing on Sunday. The rally, which was scheduled to pass through Baguihati, Kestopur, and Lake Town before concluding at the Hanuman Temple in Dum Dum, was stopped by police citing traffic and security concerns. As tensions rose briefly at VIP More, police attempted to divert the rally from its planned route. However, it has now been decided that the procession will continue toward the Dum Dum Hanuman Temple under police guidance.
